Indian Orthopaedic Society (UK)

The Indian Orthopaedic Society UK aims to promote the interests of Orthopaedic Surgeons of Indian origin, currently in training or practicing in the UK, as well as those who, at any time, have been trained in the UK but are settled in India or other countries.
It organises various meetings, courses and social events at local and national level as well as, acting as a forum for informal discussion amongst members on issues of mutual interest.
IOS UK also plays a key role in liaising between the Indian Orthopaedic Association and the British Orthopaedic Association. The Indo British Travelling Fellowships sponsored by IOS UK are now well established and are receiving wider recognition.
IOS UK is currently having discussions with BOA educational committee to establish recognised longer duration fellowship in Indian Centres of Excellence for British trainees.
